Amarajyothi scheme is like a death insurance scheme. Nominee of the deceased group member will receive the benefit contributed by group members only.
Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha (R) is a registered organisation and the scheme has been floated by the Management duly approved in the General body meeting. Any disputes, if arises are subject to Bangalore city jurisdiction only. Processing of the application and claim is purely decided by the management only.
Details
ELIGIBILITY: Only to the life members of Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha aged from 20 years to 60 years.
FEE DETAILS: Amarajyothi membership fee is Rs. 2,000/- of which Rs. 500/- will be taken towards admission fee and Rs. 1,500/- will be in members' account.
Scheme Effective date is 01 April 2019.
Any death of the Amarajyothi group member should bring the knowledge of Mahasabha before seven days, from the date of expiry.
Claim scheme benefit should be lodged with Mahasabha alongwith requisite documents before thirty days of the death, to enable Mahasabha to pay upto Rs. 5,00,000/- to the registered nominee. [ depending upon the strength ].
n case of any group members death the remaining group members has to remit Rs. 100/- to Mahasabha account before fifteen days from the date of announcement.
If the member has not remitted the requisite amount in time or outstanding amount in the member's account becomes NIL, the membership to the scheme gets invalid automatically and the concerned member is not eligible to get the benefits of the scheme.
In case of death of the nominee, it is responsibility of the concerned member to appoint fresh nominee within fifteen days.
Any change in the contact details & address should be informed to the Mahasabha within 15 days.
BENEFITS OF SCHEME ARE NOT ELIGIBLE UNDER THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES;
> Unnatural death, except death by accident.
> Suppression of health conditions at the time of entry to the scheme and found guilty on enquiry after the demise., ie., For the past three years the applicant should be free from any type of chronicle / uncurable disease including mentally retarded [ partially / fully ] ;
> If the member is unable to remit the requisite amount for group member's death in time or in case the balance in the member's account becomes “NIL”, the member concerned will be automatically removed from the scheme and he is not eligible to rejoin again.
Other features:
Smart card will be issued to the Amarjyothi scheme members and by using the same, member can enjoy 05% to 10 % discount on their cards utilisation from the selected business establishments / various organisations.
Medical aid upto Rs. 50,000 is available to the financially poor Amarajyothi schemes members with one year holiday period from the date of commencement of scheme.
Membership amount to the scheme is accepted only by means of draft, cheque or cash payable to Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha at Bangalore.

Accepting or rejection of application is the sole discretion of Mahasabha
All disputes arising under this scheme are subject to Bangalore city jurisdiction only.
Mahasabha will act as per the rules & regulations of Government [ Central & State ] issued from time to time wherever applicable.
Under the scheme, any member remits the amount will be credited to Mahasabha bank account only. There is no room for cancel/refund/return of the amount remitted by the member. Member will get removed automatically from the group, if the member's balance becomes NIL. Members are can pay by contacting Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha or by digitally using the PayU payment gateway integrated with the Mobile Application designed for the members. Note : All transactions should be in INR only.
